About The Position

As a Field Service Engineer, you play a direct role in keeping advanced semiconductor systems running at peak performance. Your work enables the production of microchips that power everyday technologies. At ASML, you will support customers by installing, maintaining, and improving complex equipment on-site. You will help transfer knowledge and build strong partnerships with customers while contributing to continuous innovation. In this Field Service Engineer role, you will work independently while collaborating with teams to deliver reliable results and improve system performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the semiconductor or high-tech equipment industry.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and standard business software (spreadsheets, presentations, documentation tools).
  • Familiarity with electromechanical systems, diagnostics, and maintenance processes.
  • Diagnose and solve complex technical problems independently.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and technical challenges.
  • Apply analytical thinking to troubleshoot system issues.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail in documentation and execution.
  • Show initiative in learning new technologies and processes.
  • Support and mentor team members when needed.
  • Work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
  • Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology prior to beginning work.

Responsibilities

  • Manage maintenance and troubleshooting activities while working closely with customers and internal experts.
  • Take ownership of issues and help drive timely, effective solutions.
  • Analyze equipment issues by gathering and interpreting diagnostic data.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on advanced systems.
  • Plan service activities, including tools, parts, and customer scheduling.
  • Collaborate with customers to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
  • Document service activities and ensure clear handoff to support teams.
  • Train customer staff on system use, maintenance, and best practices.
  • Share knowledge and support the development of less experienced engineers.
