The Field Service Engineer performs site surveys, power quality testing, and failure analysis. This role involves on-site commissioning of DVAR, PQ-SVC systems, and inverter components and control electronics for domestic and international customers, as well as training customers in operating and maintenance practices. The engineer will assist Engineering & Manufacturing with factory testing of new units and support the Sales & Marketing team with new product development. Responsibilities also include presenting suggestions for product improvement or cost reduction, modifying documentation to reflect actual site conditions, specifying and implementing specialized maintenance procedures, and managing the field change order process. The position requires monitoring customer units using DAS and remote systems for predictive maintenance, interacting with customers remotely to solve problems, and traveling to customer sites as necessary to maintain high reliability. The role also involves providing written communications, producing and maintaining service reports, and managing inventory levels and scheduling activities.
