The Field Service Engineer I is a hands-on electro-mechanical service role responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing medical and industrial equipment at customer sites. This position supports product installation, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance/repair services. The ideal candidate has practical experience servicing electro-mechanical products, troubleshooting equipment to the FRU level, working with wiring harnesses and sensitive electronic components, and using service tools such as a digital multimeter, vacuum/pressure meter, frequency counter, or similar diagnostic equipment. This is a field-based technician role, not an IT help desk, desktop support, networking, or software-only position. The right candidate must be comfortable traveling, working independently at customer sites, documenting service activity, and following service procedures accurately.
