About The Position

TOMRA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team in Italy, specifically in the Rome or Naples area. This role involves providing support to customers in Italy and East Europe, requiring significant travel, primarily within Italy and occasionally abroad. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training at TOMRA's German training center and gain practical field experience with support from experienced colleagues. The position is full-time and offers a unique opportunity within a fast-growing company focused on sustainability and resource management.

Requirements

Completed secondary technical school (FP2) or higher with a specialization in electrician/electronics, automation, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
Willingness to travel 80% or more.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in computer programs, PC configuration, and network structures.
Talent for communication when dealing with customers.
Native in Italian and proficient in English.
Full clean driving license required.

Nice To Haves

Work experience in an industrial environment with a focus on on-site preventive and curative maintenance.
Knowledge of the metal scrap business and recycling processes.

Responsibilities

Installation, commissioning, maintenance, optimization, and repair of sensor-based sorters at TOMRA Recycling installation bases.
Ensuring maximum performance of TOMRA sorting systems in the field.
Delivering exceptional customer experiences through effective communication and support.
Optimizing sorting systems/processes by sampling and testing.
Identifying opportunities to add value to customers' businesses through complementary TOMRA products, solutions, and services.
Acting as a link between customers and Headquarters, collecting and providing market feedback for continuous improvement and new opportunities.
