About The Position

This Position is located in Rio Rancho NM. The role involves repairing system-level problems that have multiple causes and no standard procedures, relying on the engineer's technical knowledge, education, training, and certification. The engineer may identify issues in customer processes, such as chemical leaks or contamination, and recommend fab shutdowns if unsafe conditions are detected. Responsibilities include preparing field service reports, documenting recurring problems for other departments, and preparing customer quotes based on labor, travel, and parts. The engineer will also cross-train and assist other field service engineers, providing guidance to less senior colleagues. Additionally, they will offer guidance and technical assistance to Installation Engineers and conduct customer orientation and technical training on equipment maintenance and user applications. Travel by car or commercial transportation to customer facilities and throughout the western US and other North American regions is required. The role also involves contributing to knowledge management systems for capturing, reusing, collaborating, and improving knowledge.

  • Bachelor's Level Degree or at least 3 year of experience.
  • Equivalent Combination of Experience and Education.
  • Master's Level Degree, Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 3 years

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer experience working in the semiconductor industry.
  • Hands-on experience with KLA Metrology equipment (Archer10 - A700) highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Repair of system level problems (which have multiple causes and for which no standard procedures exist) are based on CSE's technical knowledge, education, training and certification.
  • Access and determine the problems existing in customers' processes such as chemical leaks or contamination, and as a result may recommend shutdown of customer fab due to unsafe conditions.
  • Prepare fields service reports on customer support activity and provide documentation to other supporting functions on re-occurring problems.
  • Prepare quotes for customers based on labor, travel expenses incurred and parts needed.
  • Use discretion and assist regional admin in preparing quotes based on reason for equipment failure, time to prepare etc.
  • Cross train and assist other field service engineers as appropriate.
  • Provide guidance to less senior CSE's.
  • Provide guidance and technical assistance to Installation Engineer on installations at customer sites or on installing/dismantling demonstration machines.
  • Conduct customer orientation and technical training on all aspects of equipment maintenance support for user applications.
  • Travel by car or commercial transportation to customer facility as well as travel to support customers throughout the western US and other regions in North America, as needed.
  • Contribute to the Capturing, Re-use, Collaboration, and Improvement of knowledge using available systems.
