The role involves installing and commissioning new systems within schedule and budget, encompassing mechanical, hydraulic (up to 3,000psi), ultra high pressure fluid (up to 120,000psi), electrical (24VDC to 480 VAC), and controls systems (RS Logix5000, ControlLogix and Ethernet). Responsibilities also include troubleshooting and rebuilding hydraulic and centrifugal pumps, working on filtration systems, project administration and reporting, leading on-site project staff, training customers and Avure staff, ensuring safety and quality assurance, managing customer relations, providing remote support, and supporting other departments. The role requires heavy travel.

Requirements

  • AAS or equivalent education/work experience.
  • 3+5 years of experience in a Field Service Technician capacity.
  • Willing to travel up to 90%, domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, electrical and mechanical prints; along with PLC ladder logic.
  • Familiarity with cooling, pneumatic and high/low pressure systems.
  • Ability to use torque wrenches.
  • Ability to use measurement instruments.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and web-based data bases.
  • Proficiency in electro-mechanical systems.
  • Experience installing multimillion dollar capital equipment products.
  • Ability to coordinate, set priorities and lead a large project that includes: crane operations, rigging, electrical installation, and plumbing.
  • Demonstrated experience working with PLC's, HMI and SCADA systems.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Valid passport.

  • Experience with ultra-high pressure or water jet cutting machines.
  • Previous work experience in a food processing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Install and commission new systems within the schedule and budget provided by the project team.
  • Work on mechanical systems.
  • Work on hydraulic systems (up to 3,000psi).
  • Work on ultra high pressure fluid systems (up to 120,000psi).
  • Work on electrical systems (24VDC to 480 VAC).
  • Work on controls systems (RS Logix5000, ControlLogix and Ethernet).
  • Perform hydraulic system troubleshooting and rebuilding of variable pumps, directional valves, relief valves and intensifiers.
  • Perform centrifugal pump troubleshooting and rebuild.
  • Work on filtration systems.
  • Administer and report on projects.
  • Lead on site project staff, consisting of customer maintenance crew and external contractors.
  • Train customers and Avure staff through both classroom settings and practical applications.
  • Ensure personal and site staff safety.
  • Ensure quality assurance.
  • Manage customer relations.
  • Provide remote support of customers and coworkers.
  • Support other departments and sites, including areas of engineering listed above.
  • Engage in individual development.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
