About The Position

Performing a variety of technical functions in support of engineering activities such as troubleshooting, test, modification, assembly, and maintenance and repair of electronic systems and other specialized avionics equipment. Evaluating components, subsystems, test equipment, and software. Providing technical support to Air Force customers on operations and maintenance of assigned communications/surveillance equipment. Performing aircraft installation, troubleshooting, and testing of equipment. Supporting aircraft flight test and engineering evaluations of new systems and system configurations. Assisting in training junior level electronics technicians and Air Force personnel to perform general fabrication, assembly, test and evaluation, and documentation tasks. Deploying worldwide with AFSOC personnel in support of exercise and contingency operations including hostile environments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years aircraft avionics maintenance experience, JTWS equipment experience, or equivalent DoD SIGINT experience
  • Must be able to operate as a single maintainer at either CONUS or OCONUS locations to include hostile areas
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • U.S. Government security clearance at the TOP SECRET / SCI level

Nice To Haves

  • Eight plus years of experience with AFSOC, AF or DoD SIGINT/COMINT, EW, Guidance & Control or Comm/Nav systems.
  • Knowledge of AF and AFSOC organizational structure
  • Knowledge of DoD SIGINT/COMINT employment concepts
  • Familiarity with USAF, AFSOC aircraft maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures
  • CompTIA Security+ certified
