About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to lead and support the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of our systems at customer sites. In this role, you will play an essential part in ensuring system reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational success. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various systems at customer locations. Reporting to the Senior Field Service Manager, the candidate will work closely with customers, providing technical expertise, ensuring system functionality, and delivering outstanding customer support. This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants will be asked to provide specific documentation to verify U.S. person status under the ITAR and the EAR. A “U.S. person” according to their definition is a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or protected individual such as a refugee, or asylee. See 22 CFR § 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of technical systems
  • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with a proven ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience interacting professionally with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility to travel extensively to customer sites as required.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
  • Experience with tools and software used for system configuration, diagnostics, and performance monitoring.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • US Citizens only.
  • Must be able to provide documentation to verify U.S. person status under ITAR and EAR regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certifications or an associate degree in electronics or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant technical certifications or degrees are preferred.
  • Strong technical expertise in electronic security systems, including RF-based wireless sensors and networked systems.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
  • Experience working in the defense or critical infrastructure sectors.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for electronic security systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools for RF systems.
  • Experience with IP networking and basic Linux system operation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the installation, configuration, and testing of security and defense systems at customer sites, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve technical issues efficiently, minimizing system downtime.
  • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance, including system updates, inspections, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with project managers, customers, and internal teams to ensure seamless system integration and deployment.
  • Deliver comprehensive on-site training to customers on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring prompt and professional resolution of concerns.
  • Maintain detailed records of field service activities, including installation reports, maintenance logs, and troubleshooting documentation.
  • Generate and present detailed reports to customers and internal stakeholders, summarizing system performance, issues, and resolutions.
  • Work closely with the Senior Field Service Manager to coordinate advanced field service activities and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to verify adherence to company standards and customer requirements.
  • Provide remote technical support as needed, leveraging expertise to address customer issues effectively.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and advancements, applying knowledge to enhance system performance and customer satisfaction.
