About The Position

This position involves performing on-site machine repairs, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues with a focus on CNC machine electronics, mechanics, and operations. The role requires basic to intermediate knowledge of engineering concepts, including general repair, debugging, preventive maintenance, and routine customer issue resolution. A significant portion of the role (85%) is dedicated to machine maintenance and repair, where the incumbent will independently handle less complex repairs and, with consultation from higher-level engineers, recommend corrective actions. The remaining 15% involves maintaining records, analyzing performance reports, and coordinating problem resolutions with various internal teams and customers.

Requirements

  • High School diploma and completion of high school engineering program, Associates or Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline with one to three years of experience or; equivalent combination of education and experience/training
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Understanding of the machines’ electrical and mechanical systems with the ability to debug
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment, and ability to multitask while adapting to shifting priorities
  • Proven ability to maintain confidential information

Responsibilities

  • Handle on-site machine repairs of a less complex nature, troubleshooting and other technical issues, often independently.
  • Inspect malfunctioning or damaged product to determine the nature and scope of the problem.
  • Investigate and resolve customer reports of less major significance.
  • Recommend repair, replacements, or other corrective actions with consultation from higher-level Field Service Engineers.
  • Maintain records of performance reports.
  • Analyze reports of technical problems to provide input on trends affecting future design, production, service, and maintenance processes.
  • Coordinate problem resolutions with applications engineering, spare parts team members, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
  • Provide communication between the customer and the company.
