This Field Service Engineer I position is a full-time role with an anticipated 20% remote/work-from-home schedule and 80% field work, primarily in Southern Nebraska. Occasional out-of-state and out-of-country travel may be required. The role is suitable for individuals with strong customer service skills and mechanical aptitude, seeking a supportive, challenging, and growth-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Mechanical skills and/or experience.
- Strong customer service skills.
- A valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.

- Background includes electronics or telemetry.
- Previous Field Service experience.
- Background includes working with irrigation pipelines or pump controls.
- Proven ability to self-manage and take initiative.
- Resilient, resourceful, and an expert at managing a busy workload with competing priorities.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers over the phone and in the field.
- Support and troubleshoot the design, construction, installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of McCrometer's instrumentation via phone when working remotely.
- Travel to customer locations to provide hands-on support for installation or diagnostic/repair work.
- Anticipate occasional overnight stays for work assignments, with some requiring up to a week of overnight stays.
