About The Position

Assisting in the fabrication and integration of C4ISR systems into multiple variants of ship vessels (Navy & MSC). Assisting technical staff members in the fabrication, integration, testing, operation, maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical circuits. Providing feedback to production management and QA with identified issues/defects in design or during the fabrication/integration phase with regards to cables or equipment racks. Performing on-site installation of equipment and products in the continental United States within various environments to include Naval Bases and privately owned shipyards.

Requirements

  • 0-5 years of related C4I Shipboard System and new construction experience
  • Experience installing/running cables and dressing/banding shipboard cableways IAW NAVSEA standards and practices
  • Experience in hardwiring lighting, terminal/sym boxes, and building Mil Std connectors
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand shipboard provided installation documentation
  • OSHA 10 Maritime - Active Certification (must be able to provided photo copy)
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Eligibility for a U.S. Government Security Clearance at the Secret level

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with RF, Heliax, Cat 5/6, & Multi-pin MIL-STD connectors, with regards to Multi-pin connectors we are seeking technicians with experience in building MIL-STD series M28840, D38999, M24308, MS3456, or MS3476 connectors
  • Experience installing cables, electronic equipment, and/or C4I systems onboard Navy and MSC vessels within a shipyard or US Naval base environment, class ships to include but not limited to: CVN, LPD, LHA, DDG, or T-AO
  • Active Fiber Optic Certifications for: Handling, Terminating, Testing, or QA/Supervision
