About The Position

Providing system level technical support to the US Navy's Carry-on Special Technologies Engineering and Integration (STEI) systems. This role involves troubleshooting, identifying, recommending resolutions, and performing corrective actions on STEI systems. The Field Service Engineer will also be responsible for tracking Casualty Reports (CASREPs) and distance support actions, performing Technical Feedback Report (TFBR) reviews for 3M preventive maintenance, and conducting system level testing to accurately validate operational readiness. Additionally, the position requires performing technical reviews of Technical Manuals (TMs) and procedural reviews for technical accuracy and validity, as well as technical reviews of system training materials.

Requirements

  • Minimum three years experience with the proper use of a variety of test equipment including time domain reflectometers, spectrum and vector network analyzers, signal generators, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, and digital multi-meters
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Minimum three years experience of electronics maintenance background, familiarity with Unix/Linux systems troubleshooting, low-level systems administration experience, or Radio Frequency (RF) testing
  • A minimum of three years of C4ISR system maintenance, or equivalent experience is required
  • Ability to lift equipment greater than thirty pounds (30 lbs) and qualify for health screenings as required by US Navy Safety Programs Afloat
