About The Position

This is a direct-hire role for an electro-mechanical technician looking to escape routine line maintenance and take true ownership of capital equipment lifecycles. The employer is an established, highly respected global manufacturer of premium automated systems in the Menomonee Falls area, known for innovation, quality craftsmanship, and an employee-first culture. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will sit at the vital intersection of internal quality control, engineering design, and customer engagement. Rather than dealing exclusively with frantic reactive repairs, you will own machines from start to finish—leading Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) on the production floor, executing final field installations (SAT), and submitting Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to directly influence future machine designs.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of verifiable experience servicing, commissioning, or troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical industrial machinery or capital equipment.
  • Strong technical fluency reading electrical/mechanical schematics, wiring industrial controls, and troubleshooting automated systems.
  • Full willingness and ability to travel 40 to 70 days per year, holding or maintaining a valid passport for potential international deployments.
  • Must possess and provide a comprehensive personal mechanical/electrical field service toolset and be comfortable with the physical demands of machinery setup and installation.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and organization skills when working directly with global customer engineering and operations teams.
  • A solid, reliable employment background demonstrating long-term career commitment and technical growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), inspecting machinery on the floor and serving as the primary technical representative during global customer installations.
  • Troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems, isolating component faults and working safely with high-voltage control panels, industrial motors, and low-voltage sensors.
  • Perform software downloads and adjustments to PLCs and HMIs during machine setup and final commissioning.
  • Provide expert technical support via phone and email, logging service calls and delivering professional operator training at client sites.
  • Collaborate directly with engineering, submitting Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to address quality or operational issues and refine equipment design.
  • Lead trade show execution, managing the technical setup, mechanical alignment, and teardown of automated equipment for industry events.

Benefits

  • Up to $80,000 Starting Base Salary
  • Dedicated Daily Travel Per Diem
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package
