About The Position

The Field Sales Trainer (FST) is a dedicated field-based coaching role supporting Renewal by Andersen of Charlotte rapid growth trajectory. You will drive behavioral execution and close rate improvement across the sales team through real-time field coaching, live appointment demonstrations, and deliberate practice in the home improvement sales environment. This is a practitioner-coach role where you model excellence and accelerate representative development through observation and immediate feedback in the field.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of field sales experience in home improvement, window replacement, or similar consultative sales.
  • Proven top 25% performance record as a sales representative.
  • Track record of coaching or mentoring others.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to deliver feedback that drives behavior change.
  • Ability to operate entirely in the field, matching representative schedules.
  • Proficiency with sales CRM systems.
  • 5+ years of total sales experience.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Physical ability to lift and transport window/door samples up to 70 lbs.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute 20+ newly issued appointments per month demonstrating best-in-class window replacement sales process and closing techniques for representatives to observe.
  • Conduct 20 ride-alongs per month with assigned representatives, observing their performance and coaching process execution, discovery quality, and objection handling.
  • Manage personal PC (Pending Close) and DNS (Did Not Sign) appointments, taking ownership of recovery opportunities while coaching representatives.
  • Provide real-time and post-appointment feedback focused on behavioral correction and skill development.
  • Collaborate with Sales Manager to identify coaching priorities and track representative progress.
  • Document coaching observations and behavioral metrics for management visibility.
  • Model sales excellence daily through professional demeanor, product knowledge mastery, and consistent adherence to Renewal by Andersen standards.
  • Support Sales Manager by reducing personal coaching burden while elevating team execution standards.
