About The Position

Waters Corporation (Materials Science Division - TA Instruments) is looking to hire an enthusiastic, Technical Sales Representative to direct sales of our world-class analytical instruments. This person will be based out of the Dallas/Ft Worth area or Austin TX area and will be required to travel across their assigned region which includes North Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Materials Sciences, Chemical Engineering or other technical field.
  • 2+ years capital equipment sales: prior thermal, rheology, microcalorimetry or thermophysical properties experience highly desirable
  • Expert at CRM Management and funnel maintenance
  • Overnight travel is required and international travel as needed
  • Action oriented and eager to achieve results
  • Sound communication and presentation skills
  • Highly organized / well-prepared / time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a good listener
  • Matured disposition, positive attitude and strong sense of commitment
  • Adaptive to a dynamic and ever-changing environment

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales targets selling TA Instruments thermal analysis, rheology, microcalorimetry, and thermophysical systems.
  • Maintain installed-base customer satisfaction
  • Aggressively develop new prospects and penetrate competitive accounts
  • Visit customers daily to highlight Waters solutions and help customers with any technical obstacles in their way
  • Build technical competency on Waters (TA Instruments) solution and to be perceived by customers as a credible resource
  • Maintain current knowledge on vertical markets dynamics, application trends, and other critical business information
  • Provide information to marketing team to create business development programs
  • Fully utilize of our Sales Contact Management Tools and Applications
  • Submit accurate and timely monthly sales forecasts
  • Develop business through monthly plan of action
