Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Valid driver’s license & clean MVR required.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales of grocery products to chain accounts.
  • Microsoft Office experience required
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%.
  • Effective communication, time management, strong organizational and basic math skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently without direct on-site supervision.
  • Keep a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy merchandise
  • Interact and communicate effectively and professionally with retail team and store personnel
  • Be courteous to shoppers and assist with general questions.
  • Comfortable performing multi-faceted tasks in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
  • Willingness to support with ad-hoc assignments and queries.

Responsibilities

  • Drives KEHE sales and is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day relationship with the stores in an assigned territory and route through placement of product, promotional selling and effective display of merchandise.
  • Increases sales in each store, increases the number of displays in each store, increases order size, and maintains excellent relationships with all the store management and personnel.
  • Willingness to travel depending on geographic location, with overnight travel as needed.
  • Works both independently and collaboratively with coworkers, customer employees and vendors.
  • Engages in product sales and additional promotional sales through consistent and regimented service visits at customer sites; increases incremental sales achieved through displays and cross merchandising; responsible for knowing the budget, metrics, variance, and objectives.
  • Merchandises products for display and placement in a way that attracts sales at customer stores and secondary and perimeter locations; resets displays of merchandise at customer locations to enhance display of product.
  • Checks for planogram integrity and corrects any distribution voids.
  • Analyzes backroom conditions and works backstock to the shelf as necessary; transports product from storage areas and places product onto customer shelves or displays.
  • Maintains quality and quantity by rotating products to achieve 100% in-date stats on all items to ensure freshness; pulls any out of code items immediately from the shelf; executes Category Rotation Schedule if applicable.
  • Conducts inventory counts (perpetual and SBT as needed) and reconciles orders for customer accounts by verifying accuracy of delivery records with product delivered.
  • Creates and transmits customer credits for spoiled, returned goods, and/or product replenishment and other corresponding paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Establishes customer relationships and sustains regular cadence of communications, in order to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Effectively communicates with other sales reps, Regional Sales Managers, Account Managers, Stockers, and internal cross-functional partners.
  • Dusts/Cleans all products to achieve optimal product presentation to the consumer; maintains clean work environment, which may include picking up trash or cleaning spills.
  • Places quality and stock orders for product placement; removes damaged items from shelf.
  • Plans and carries out daily schedules according to assigned customer locations; travels throughout assigned territory, manages timelines to ensure completion of assigned customer and KEHE requirements, and responds to fluctuations in workload to deliver quality customer service according to KEHE standards.
  • Coordinates and communicates product merchandising needs and customer requirements as needed; reports to store and/or replaces any missing shelf tags and signage.
  • Utilizes platforms/applications/equipment in checking in and out of location, as well as tracking of assigned projects and completion, timekeeping, and transmission of orders and credits.
  • Operates motor vehicle to travel to and from customer locations throughout assigned territory.
  • Attends and participates in team and/or regional sales meetings as requested.
  • Other duties may be assigned to fulfill KEHE’s objectives, including stocking productivity rate at 35 cases/hour or greater, if needed.
