About The Position

General Motors is seeking passionate, driven individuals to join our Customer Care and Aftersales "CCA", Field Sales Operations Internship Program for Summer 2027. This 12-week, project-based internship offers students the opportunity to learn about the District Manager, Parts and Service "DMPS" role while gaining hands-on experience supporting dealers and contributing to the growth of General Motors’ parts and service business across the United States. Each intern will be assigned to one of General Motors’ five Sales, Service and Marketing regions: Northeast, Southeast, North Central, South Central, or Western. Throughout the program, interns will learn alongside District Managers and Zone Managers through field visits, dealer interactions, business projects, and mentorship. They will gain insight into how General Motors partners with dealers, supports parts and service growth, and delivers an exceptional customer experience. Midway through the internship, interns will spend time in a Central Office in Warren Michigan to learn how Customer Care and Aftersales teams work with regional field teams and other business functions to support dealers, improve the customer experience, and advance General Motors’ broader business strategy. The Customer Care and Aftersales Field Sales Operations team works with General Motors dealers across the United States to help grow their parts and service businesses and deliver an exceptional customer experience. The team connects General Motors’ broader business priorities with the day-to-day needs of dealers and their customers. Field team members build relationships with dealers, understand local business opportunities, and help put regional strategies and initiatives into action. Central Office teams provide the strategy, analysis, tools, and resources that support dealer success across the regions. Together, these teams collaborate with dealer partners and other business functions to improve performance and strengthen the customer experience.
