About The Position

Direct and manage the sales activities of the selling organization. Lead, direct, and coach the sales team to secure and maintain maximum sales in market, and in the assigned trade channels. Responsible for the sales execution of the full portfolio of brands. Achieve gross profit goals, consistent performance on the priority brands, programs, and activities. This role involves managing the sales functions of an assigned sales division, supervising the sales force and supervisors, and providing coaching and training for sales staff, while also developing and maintaining customer relationships.

Requirements

  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Previous sales management experience required
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Managing the sales functions of assigned sales division, supervising the sales force, supervisors and providing coaching and training for sales staff, developing and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Work with sales supervisors to ensure execution of the business driver activity across all channels as well as train and develop the selling capabilities of the individual/team
  • Coach the sales team in a professional manner. Ensure that all Company standards and policies are adhered to (i.e. dress code, cleanliness, policies and standards on the pre-plan).
  • Support the supplier partnerships in order to help achieve mutual business objectives and execute all defined selling activity
  • Improve market penetration of our portfolio of brands and increase profits through your sales’ team execution on price promotions, distribution, displays, full line sales, and additional shelf space for all Company products
  • Develop and drive monthly business drivers.
  • Participating in bi-monthly sales planning and marketing meetings for primary sales divisions (Game Plan meetings).
  • Plan and execute sales weekly team meetings to assist, direct, and educate them to become more effective in the trade.
  • Provide positive exposure for Company through community involvement, quality service, and excellent support to ultimately increase product sales and market share.
  • Deliver annual performance appraisals to direct reports inclusive of employee development plans and initiatives.
  • Update necessary personnel of your staff’s attendance and route lists and ensure coverage of any vacant route.
  • Complete evaluations of sales team using monthly meetings; work with analysis, and incentive, distribution, and sales results.
  • Balance Company objectives with supplier and retailer requests.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and optimize margins and sales
  • Establish sales forecasts and objectives.
  • Create programs to execute brand goals
  • Create and maintain sales routes that maximize sales and productivity.
  • Develop compensation plans for sales supervisors and staff
  • Regulate and approve placement of company equipment to customers
  • Order POS material to support market and drive visibility of company brands
  • Create and distribute sales reports in order to measure performance
  • Execute sales meetings
  • Create and maintain monthly price sheets
  • Provide ongoing feedback to sales supervisors in order to maintain focus and create a developmental environment.
