About The Position

The Field Sales and Delivery Representative is responsible for owning their route, providing route relief across assigned accounts by selling and delivering coffee, tea, and related products. This involves visiting customer sites, checking and rotating inventory, cleaning equipment, performing Cup Quality Checks (CQC), and restocking beverage stations. The role also includes identifying distribution gaps, recommending seasonal promotions, updating pricing to boost revenue, and ensuring timely delivery and service to all scheduled customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide route relief across assigned accounts by selling and delivering coffee, tea, and related products.
  • Ensure every scheduled customer receives timely delivery and service.
  • Replenish, rotate, and merchandise beverage station items to standard at each call.
  • Keep equipment clean and functioning; complete at least one daily CQC; perform basic adjustments or minor repairs.
  • Manage invoices, inventory, and collections each day while on route.
  • Grow revenue per stop: close product voids, execute seasonal and LTO promotions, and implement pricing actions.
  • Surface inefficiencies, customer concerns, and new opportunities to the Area Sales Manager (ASM) quickly.
  • Support the ASM with inventory cycle counts, warehouse work, and customer-related projects.
  • Apply the Farmer Brothers Way to Sell to deepen satisfaction and loyalty; make additional sales calls when possible.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned, including warehouse operations, A/R collections, and customer service.
