Field Safety Technician - Denver, CO

The Field Safety Technician assists in the administration and overall supervision of project safety and accident and fire protection programs to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This is a non-exempt role that reports to the Site Manager / Area Safety Manager. Assigned duties are according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently.
Requirements
- Technical training and/or industrial related safety experience
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
- Job site safety requirements (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
- Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
- Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others at the workplace
Responsibilities
- Conducts regular walk through inspections of construction areas; identifies, documents and recommends resolutions of hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions and follows through to ensure that corrections have been made.
- Documents and investigates all accidents, safety violations and other unsafe conditions or activities.
- Compiles data, photographs, etc. and prepares all pertinent forms and reports according to corporate procedures and federal, state and local regulations associated with accidents.
- Issues various entry permits (i.e. to confined spaces) as required.
- Assists in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through interfacing with management/supervisory personnel.
- Participates in developing and conducting personnel safety training programs.
