About The Position
This position is based at the main office in Greensboro, NC. Applicants must reside within a 30-minute (max) commute of the Greensboro office. The Field Safety Specialist will support the company by promoting safe work practices and ensuring compliance with OSHA and applicable regulations. This role is primarily field-based, working alongside crews at customer jobsites.
Requirements
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in transportation, construction, safety, or industrial training
Nice To Haves
- OSHA knowledge
- Degree preferred; but, will accept related work experience
Responsibilities
- Perform jobsite safety inspections focused to ensure OSHA and local regulatory compliance
- Conduct jobsite observations to ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures
- Assist with accident investigations and incident documentation (as needed)
- Assist in managing cargo and equipment damage claims
- Organize and maintain safety training records and documentation
- Support safety-related projects and initiatives as assigned
