Field Safety Representative II

About The Position

The Field Safety Representative II promotes the Company's IIF culture and helps ensure co-workers return home safely. The role spends 100% of its time in the field observing and coaching co-workers to correct unsafe conditions and behaviors. It may supervise lower-level Field Safety Representatives and Coordinators, reinforces positive behavior through recognition or rewards, and serves as a resource by answering safety questions and sharing lessons learned. The representative embeds with the project team and takes a hands-on approach to improve project safety, quality, and productivity (SQP).

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a safety-related major and a minimum of 2 years of concrete construction and safety experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must obtain OSHA 30-hour certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

Promote the Company's IIF culture by serving as a safety resource on the project.
Assist with project compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
Assist with or conduct case management.
Ensure a safe work environment.
Participate in training and certifications.
Observe and coach co-workers in correcting unsafe conditions and behaviors.
Reinforce positive behavior through recognition or rewards.
Answer co-workers' safety questions and share lessons learned.
Embed with the project team and use a hands-on approach to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
May supervise lower-level Field Safety Representatives and Coordinators.
