Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of safety experience. Preferably in construction, mechanical contracting, industrial, or field service environments.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
  • Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, corrective action planning, and safety training.
  • Ability to travel to job sites.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct jobsite safety inspections and audits to identify and correct hazards. This includes job sites within Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and customer safety requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to verify compliance with fall protection, lockout/tagout, confined space, electrical safety, and other applicable programs.
  • Complete standard operating procedures and safety prequalification’s for job sites that require this type of documentation.
  • Investigate accidents, injuries, near misses, and property damage incidents.
  • Deliver hands on safety training and annual refresher training.
  • Serve as a primary safety resource for field employees, customers, and project teams.
  • Oversee fleet operations and driver safety programs, ensuring company vehicles are properly maintained, compliant with regular requirements, and utilized efficiently to support field operations.
  • Partner with external safety consultant to facilitate jobsite inspections, evaluate findings, develop corrective action plans, and ensure timely completion of identified improvements.
