Position Summary The Network Safety Manager is responsible for developing and enforcing consistent safety standards across all company locations. This role conducts facility inspections, investigates incidents, manages corrective actions, delivers safety training, and partners with operational leaders to reduce workplace injuries, property damage, environmental risk, and unsafe practices. The ideal candidate has multi-location safety experience, strong investigative judgment, and the authority to address serious hazards directly.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience in occupational safety, risk management, automotive operations, or a related field.
  • Experience managing safety across multiple locations.
  • Knowledge of hazard assessment, incident investigation, corrective-action management, and safety training.
  • Experience in automotive repair, fleet maintenance, manufacturing, construction, or another technical environment.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently and work inside active automotive repair facilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health, risk management, operations, or a related field.
  • Safety certification such as CSP, ASP, OHST, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting multi-state operations, OSHA inspections, workers’ compensation, environmental compliance, or acquisition integration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain companywide safety policies, procedures, training, and inspection standards.
  • Conduct scheduled and unannounced safety audits across all locations.
  • Evaluate shop equipment, vehicle lifts, hazardous materials, personal protective equipment, emergency systems, housekeeping, and employee work practices.
  • Investigate injuries, near misses, equipment failures, spills, vehicle damage, and other safety incidents.
  • Identify root causes and assign corrective actions, owners, and completion deadlines.
  • Stop work or escalate conditions that present an immediate safety risk.
  • Maintain required training, inspection, incident, and corrective-action records.
  • Support compliance with applicable OSHA, environmental, fire, and hazardous-material requirements.
  • Train managers and employees on safe work practices and incident response.
  • Monitor safety trends and report high-risk locations, recurring issues, and corrective-action status to leadership.
  • Support safety assessments for acquisitions, new locations, remodels, and equipment purchases.
  • Partner with Operations, Human Resources, Facilities, Legal, and insurance providers as needed.
