About The Position

National General, a part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking an RV/Specialty Appraiser to support field operations across the Wilmington, Hope Mills, and Fayetteville, NC areas. In this role, you will assess and estimate damages on RVs, motorcycles, trailers, and commercial vehicles, helping ensure accurate and timely claim resolution. This position is responsible for creating or auditing a comprehensive estimate of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims in either the auto or specialty lines leading to the proper disposition. It also involves training, mentoring, controlling quality, and providing technical assistance on material damage claims. Requirements

• Possesses strong estimating fundamentals.
• Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.
• Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment.
• Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.
• Must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, along with appropriate desk and seating if working from home.
• Reliable internet is required, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload if working from home.

Responsibilities

• Create or audit estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities.
• Negotiate settlements, make settlement payments, and document all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines.
• Evaluate settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices, and make decisions on the best option.
• Build mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines.
• Train, mentor, control quality, and provide technical assistance on material damage claims.
