About The Position

National General is a part of The Allstate Corporation, offering a wide range of insurance products through independent agents and directly to consumers. This role is responsible for creating comprehensive estimates of damages for 1st and 3rd party RV, Heavy Equipment, trailers, and Motorcycle material damage claims, leading to proper disposition. The position also serves as a peer mentor, demonstrating mastery of processes and technical expertise. The RV Adjuster will support field operations across the Raleigh, Burlington, and Greensboro, NC areas, assessing and estimating damages to ensure accurate and timely claim resolution. This is an opportunity for individuals with strong estimating experience who enjoy field work and delivering fair evaluations to grow their careers.

Requirements

  • Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment.
  • Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is required, as the company does not sponsor individuals for work visas.
  • Must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, along with appropriate desk and seating when working from home.
  • Reliable internet is required, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.

Responsibilities

  • Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training
  • Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files
  • Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
  • Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Exhibits mastery estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities
