About The Position

DataScan by Solifi is seeking Field Risk Specialists to support its North American business unit. The role involves performing floorplan inventory audits at dealerships (automotive, equipment, powersports, etc.) within an assigned territory. Responsibilities include physically verifying inventory, reviewing dealer records, identifying discrepancies (sold, missing, damaged, off-site units), and reconciling findings with dealership personnel. The position requires using a mobile audit application to document results and ensure data accuracy. This role is crucial for helping clients manage risk and maintain accurate inventory reporting. The position is field-based, requiring independence, sound judgment, and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Regular interaction with dealership staff and client representatives is expected, along with communicating audit results and assessing risk. Candidates should be comfortable working indoors and outdoors, managing travel within their territory, and potentially undertaking occasional overnight stays. The role is ideal for dependable, organized individuals capable of making informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to travel overnight as needed by vehicle or air travel (3 to 5 nights per month)
Ability to perform physical tasks such as clearing snow or ice from VIN/serial numbers, lifting or moving inventory boxes as needed, and bending, reaching, or stooping
Must be able to drive for extended periods of time depending on market assignment
High school diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

College education preferred
Prior experience in floorplan auditing, financial services, automotive, customer service, field services, or a related industry is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Verify in-stock inventory by inspecting VIN/serial numbers for each floorplanned unit, often outdoors and in varying weather conditions
Meet with authorized dealership personnel to research and determine the status of missing inventory units
Review and validate dealer records and supporting documentation related to sold, missing, damaged inventory and off-site collateral
Verify the status and accuracy of MSOs (Manufacturer Statements of Origin) and vehicle titles
Accurately record inventory status and audit findings using a mobile device audit application
Document dealership visit details and audit observations
Review audit results with dealership personnel in a clear and professional manner
Communicate audit results, dealer conditions, and potential risk exposure to client representatives
