Requirements

  • Construction Management degree preferred, or High School Diploma with relevant construction experience
  • Previous internship or experience in construction observation, construction management, or a related field
  • Familiarity with erosion, sedimentation, and pollution-control practices
  • Familiarity with pavement construction and utility installation
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prepare concise and accurate reports
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Perform construction observation services for land development projects involving utility installation, grading, drainage, and pavement construction
  • Serve as a liaison between Project Managers, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders
  • Assist with the administration of construction contracts and project documentation
  • Review project conditions and communicate field observations to the project team
  • Prepare project-related correspondence, reports, and documentation
  • Attend and participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Arrange and conduct job progress meetings as needed
  • Maintain daily field logs and become thoroughly familiar with project plans and specifications
  • Coordinate with multiple disciplines on complex land development projects
  • Visit project sites regularly to monitor construction progress and compliance
  • Manage time effectively to meet project schedules and client expectations
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of project delivery
