About The Position

Some of our many services include Civil, Environmental, Structural and Marine Engineering; Land Surveying; Land Planning; Landscape Architecture; Geographic Information Systems and Construction Administration. We have an opening for a Field Representative to join our Transportation Engineering Department in our Savannah, GA office.

Requirements

  • Construction Management Degree or High School Diploma and equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience with transportation construction.
  • Familiar with erosion, sedimentation, and pollution control, CEPCI certification a plus.
  • Familiar with roadway construction and utility installation.
  • Ability to understand project plans and specifications
  • Strong communication, verbal and written skills
  • Ability to produce concise digital reporting and calculations needed for pay quantities.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Graduation from a university with a degree in Civil Engineering or from a four-year college with a degree in Civil Engineering Technology
  • Experience installing or witnessing and testing asphaltic and concrete paving.
  • Experience installing or witnessing and testing roadways and earthworks

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine construction inspection services for Transportation projects involving utilities, drainage, grading and pavement construction.
  • Serves as a liaison between the Client or Project Manager and contractor.
  • Assists Project Managers in effectively administering construction contracts.
  • Seeks appropriate guidance in resolving various project-related issues.
  • Prepares project related correspondence as appropriate.
  • Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
  • Manages time effectively in order to meet project deadlines and client needs.
  • Visits project sites to inspect conditions as appropriate.
  • Attends and participates in meetings on behalf of the company with clients, contractors or resource agencies as appropriate.
  • May arrange and conduct job progress meetings.
  • Maintains daily job log and is completely familiar with plans and specifications.
  • Other duties as necessary and/or assigned by supervisor.
  • Overnight or extended travel may be required for occasional projects pending locations.
