Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) – Nevada - Utah - Colorado Ecosystem
About The Position
The Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) plays a critical role in optimizing access to Genentech products by addressing reimbursement barriers. This role involves working with key decision makers, developing reimbursement strategies, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure drug accessibility. The FRM will represent a range of products and handle complex access cases. This is a field-based position covering Nevada, Utah, and Colorado, and candidates must reside within this ecosystem. The primary focus is to compel customers to act on behalf of their patients, showing commitment to the rare disease community, and utilizing innovative methods to identify patients who may benefit from treatment. A strategic approach to patient access is required, assisting patients and their caregivers in navigating the healthcare system.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 8 or more years cross-functional industry experience in commercial life sciences (pharma or biotechnology) or related industry.
- A minimum of 5 or more years’ direct experience with managed care and reimbursement is required, either directly within/from the pharmaceutical/biotech industry or relevant, large-scale practice management.
- Must demonstrate excellent working knowledge of reimbursement and practice management environment, with a proven ability to apply this knowledge to effectively address and resolve patient access barriers.
- Candidates must live in the Nevada, Utah, and Colorado ecosystem for consideration.
- This position requires significant driving of either a company provided or personal vehicle as well as prolonged periods of sitting.
- Complies with all laws, regulations, policies and procedures that govern the conduct of Genentech activities.
Nice To Haves
- MBA or other related graduate degree preferred.
- Previous experience with both private & public payers is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in other functions in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry is preferred, e.g. product marketing, managed care marketing, field sales/sales management, field account management, etc.
- Proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding goals and objectives.
- Previous experience in completing & implementing attainable business plans.
- Understanding of external laws, codes and company policies that apply to the healthcare industry.
- Preference is for candidates residing in Nevada or Utah.
Responsibilities
- Develop a reimbursement framework to train case managers and TAMs, addressing non-patient identifiable issues.
- Utilize deep understanding of the ecosystem and reimbursement landscape to achieve patient access goals and enhance customer and patient experience.
- Serve as a liaison between Field and Home Office functions, staying updated on payer policies impacting patient access.
- Exhibit advanced knowledge of portfolio products, access and reimbursement programs, and collaborate on cross-functional strategies to address reimbursement challenges.
