About The Position

National General, a part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Property Field Adjuster to join their team. The ideal candidate will reside in Arizona, preferably near Phoenix or Tucson. This role involves investigating and managing moderate to complex residential property claims through on-site inspections. The successful candidate will possess strong estimating skills, proficiency with Xactimate, and the ability to effectively manage challenging situations while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Construction knowledge is highly preferred. This role is utilized as a peer mentor and may assign direction to more junior employees, having mastered our processes and obtained technical expertise.

Requirements

Proficiency with Xactimate.
Strong estimating skills.
Ability to effectively manage challenging situations.
Customer-focused.
Reside in Arizona, preferably near Phoenix or Tucson.

Construction knowledge is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Investigating and confirming the facts of loss for the most complex Homeowner’s Claims.
Determining coverage, damages and otherwise adjusting and negotiating claims within limit of authority.
Creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for the most complex first party homeowner claims leading to the proper disposition.
Building mastered relationships with both internal and external customers.
Interpreting regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
Negotiating settlements, making settlement payments and documenting all activities in the most complex of files.
Applying mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assisting leadership in formal and ad hoc training.
Exhibiting mastery estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on complex first party homeowner losses of all severities.
Conducting on-site inspections.
