About The Position

The Outside Property Consultant II investigates and confirms the facts of loss for advanced homeowner claims. The role determines coverage, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. The position creates or audits a comprehensive estimate of damages for first party homeowner claims leading to the proper disposition. We are hiring for a Property Field Adjuster to support the Kane and Cook County, Illinois territory. This team supports our premier clients and is seeking a seasoned professional with strong communication and customer service skills. In this role, you will handle a variety of property claims, including water-related losses and roof claims, many of which can be high-value and complex in nature.

Requirements

  • Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
  • Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to create or audit estimates of damages on first party homeowner losses with complexity.
  • Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines.
  • Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices and makes decisions on best option.
  • Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines.
  • Must possess authorization to work in the United States, as it is not our practice to sponsor individuals for work visas.
  • Must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, along with appropriate desk and seating.
  • Reliable internet is required, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
