About The Position

National General is a part of The Allstate Corporation, offering a wide range of insurance products. As a Field Property Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for advanced Homeowner's Claims. This includes determining coverage, assessing damages, and negotiating claims within your authority limits. You will create comprehensive estimates of damages for homeowners' first-party claims, leading to their proper disposition. The ideal candidate will be based in Milwaukee, WI, or live within close proximity to Madison, Kenosha, West Bend, Oshkosh, or Waukesha. In this role, you will manage moderate residential and some condo claims, conducting both in-person field inspections and virtual assessments from home. Success requires strong conflict management skills, proficiency in Xactimate, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.   • Must possess authorization to work in the United States
  • Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment.
  • Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.

Responsibilities

  • Investigating and confirming the facts of loss for advanced Homeowner's Claims.
  • Determining coverage, damages and otherwise adjusting and negotiating claims within limit of authority.
  • Creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for homeowners first party claims leading to the proper disposition.
  • Builds functional relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Applies a sound understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
  • Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the file within authority limits.
  • Demonstrates sound understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
  • Demonstrates proficient estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on advanced first party homeowners claims.
