About The Position

National General is a part of The Allstate Corporation, offering a wide range of insurance products. As a Field Property Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for advanced Homeowner's Claims. This includes determining coverage, assessing damages, and negotiating claims within your authority limits. You will create comprehensive estimates of damages for homeowners' first-party claims to ensure proper disposition. The ideal candidate will be based in or near Milwaukee, WI, managing moderate residential and some condo claims through in-person field inspections and virtual assessments. Success requires strong conflict management skills, proficiency in Xactimate, and a commitment to excellent customer service in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage moderate residential and some condo claims.
  • Conducting in-person field inspections and virtual assessments.
  • Must possess authorization to work in the United States.
  • Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment.
  • Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.

Responsibilities

  • Investigating and confirming the facts of loss for advanced Homeowner's Claims.
  • Determining coverage and damages for claims.
  • Adjusting and negotiating claims within limit of authority.
  • Creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for homeowners' first-party claims.
  • Building functional relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Applying a sound understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
  • Negotiating settlements, making settlement payments, and documenting all activities in the file within authority limits.
  • Demonstrating sound understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
  • Demonstrating proficient estimating fundamentals to create estimates of damages on advanced first-party homeowners claims.
