About The Position

Capstone ISG is seeking motivated, career-minded individuals to launch a career as a Field Property Adjuster Trainee in New Jersey. This role is ideal for individuals with backgrounds in construction, roofing, restoration, inspections, customer service, or other hands-on professions. The company provides comprehensive, company-sponsored training, industry licensing support, and real-world field experience to prepare trainees to investigate property losses, assess damage, prepare estimates, and manage insurance claims. New hires undergo a 30-day paid in-person training program in Charlotte, NC, with travel and accommodations provided. The training covers property damage assessment, construction fundamentals, insurance policy interpretation, Xactimate software, claim documentation, customer communication, regulations, and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • College Degree or equivalent required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical concepts.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn industry software platforms.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required adjuster licenses.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Construction, roofing, restoration, inspection, estimating, military, engineering, or related experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field investigations involving residential and commercial property claims.
  • Inspect homes and commercial buildings to identify and document damage.
  • Analyze claim information, policy provisions, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare repair and replacement estimates using Xactimate.
  • Assist in determining coverage, damages, and claim exposure.
  • Prepare professional reports and claim documentation for clients.
  • Maintain communication with policyholders, contractors, consultants, and insurance carriers throughout the claim process.
  • Participate in subrogation and causation investigations when applicable.
  • Manage an assigned claim inventory while meeting service and quality standards.
  • Travel throughout your assigned New Jersey territory to inspect losses and investigate claims.
  • Continue developing technical expertise through training and mentorship opportunities.
