About The Position

Clean Harbors is hiring a Field Service Project Manager for its Northern California Remediation Team. The role manages large-scale remediation, emergency response, and demolition projects at customer locations, coordinating with field teams, supervisors, the Branch Manager, customers, and internal support groups. Projects may involve emergency spill cleanup, hazardous-waste cleanup, site remediation such as tank and pit cleaning, equipment decontamination, and hazardous-material handling. The manager leads teams that may include superintendents, foremen, equipment operators, and other professionals, and may travel to customer locations and projects across the region and country, sometimes on short notice. The position oversees projects from estimating and proposal review through mobilization, execution, and closeout. It is accountable for project planning, safety and quality, budgets, schedules, change management, billing and collections, documentation, and client satisfaction. Work is split between project sites and an office environment, with approximately 30% of each day spent at a project site and the remaining time in an office. The posted annual compensation is $110,000–$120,000, plus potential annual incentive compensation. Candidates must meet the stated experience requirements, including at least five years in the waste industry—particularly hazardous-waste transportation and disposal—and at least eight years in the environmental or construction industry, with project-management or field-supervisory experience. The role requires the ability to travel, meet physical demands, wear a respirator and other PPE, maintain required training and certifications, and satisfy pre-employment and ongoing fitness-for-duty, drug-screen, and background-clearance requirements.
