ENTACT is actively seeking an experienced Field Project Manager (Superintendent) in the environmental remediation and geotechnical construction industry. Candidates must be open to sustained project-based travel within the US, at least 80% of the time. Project locations will vary depending on the assignment. Candidates can reside anywhere within the US. ENTACT offers per diem/living allowance and paid monthly trips home. Position Summary: The position of Field Project Manager will assume the pivotal role of overseeing all on-site project operations, meticulously ensuring that projects are executed with the utmost focus and adherence to safety, schedule, budget, and site plans. This individual will exhibit a high level of attention to detail, adept time management skills, and a “lead from the front” attitude. The Associate will coordinate a diverse team of craft employees including equipment operators, laborers, subcontractors, and mechanics. Associate must be open to periods of sustained project-based travel. HAZWOPER training is highly preferred but not required. Must have a valid Driver’s license with no driving restrictions which interfere with job requirements.

Requirements

  • Must have experience managing multiple aspects of large-scale environmental projects and services.
  • Ability to utilize a computer and associated software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Email and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to conduct onsite meetings with clients, subcontractors, and personnel.
  • Understanding written sentences and paragraphs related to documentation, including plans, specifications, budget, safety policies, and HR policies.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s license with no driving restrictions which interfere with job requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • HAZWOPER training is highly preferred but not required.
  • Exposure to and familiarity with any of the following areas of technical knowledge is highly desirable but not all are required: Excavation/Backfilling, Cap and Containment Installation, Dewatering & Water Treatment, Decommissioning, Decontamination & Demolition, Asbestos Abatement, Lead Abatement, Sediment Removal & Wetlands, MGP (Manufactured Gas Plant), Pipelines, Coal Ash Impoundment & Landfill Closure, Mine Reclamation and Remediation, Active Refineries, Residential Remediation, Slurry Wall Installation, In-Situ Stabilization (Soil Mixing – Deep Auger), In-Situ Stabilization (Soil Mixing – Excavator Bucket), Ex-Situ Stabilization, Drilling, Sheet Pile Installation, Dredging, Sedimentation and erosion control, Waste Management.
  • Experience with the following equipment: Excavator with GPS capabilities and Demolition attachments, Bulldozer with GPS capabilities, Loader with scales, Water Truck, Skid Steer, Man Lift/Scissor Lift, Articulating Dump Truck, Telehandler, Water Pumps, Generators, Fleet Vehicles, Powered hand tools.
  • Familiarity with mathematical conversions including Slopes, Cubic Yards, Square Footage, Density Conversions, Tonnage.
  • Ability to interpret project plans including Scaling and Specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all personnel comply with ENTACT safety standards and programs.
  • Ensuring implementation and quality of project plans.
  • Maintaining effective schedule and cost control methods.
  • Detailed planning and coordination of work two weeks in advance.
  • Leading on-site meetings with project staff, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Maintaining accurate daily field reports, schedule updates and email correspondence.
  • Maintaining a high level of communication with craft employees, clients and ENTACT management.
  • Responding to site changes and challenges in an affective timely manner.
  • Cultivating and maintaining a strong relationship with the client and project oversite.
