Field Product Advisor
About The Position
Pentair is hiring a Field Product Advisor for its South Jersey, NJ team. The role delivers expert product and technical support in collaboration with Sales, Warranty, Regional Support Partners, and Training Leadership. It manages technical relationships, supports field education, and helps ensure consistent product knowledge and installation best practices. Reporting to the Regional Technical Supervisor, the Field Product Advisor strengthens customer confidence, accelerates product adoption, and reinforces quality through a trusted field presence. The position requires travel up to 50%, depending on region and event activity.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in technical support, product training, or field service within a manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and collaborate with third-party service providers.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, depending on region and event activity.
Nice To Haves
- Background in pool equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or similar trades.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Responsibilities
- Deliver on-site and virtual technical support in partnership with Sales, Warranty, Support, and Regional Technical Supervisors, providing timely and accurate field guidance.
- Facilitate product training and live demonstrations at customer locations, distributor branches, regional training events, and trade shows, in accordance with national training governance standards.
- Support product launches through field validation, warranty readiness, and feedback to Product and Engineering teams.
- Build and manage relationships with third-party service partners, reinforcing product performance and adherence to Pentair standards.
- Act as a field liaison between Sales, Product Management, Customer Support, and Training & Education.
- Gather and share actionable field insights to improve training content, warranty analysis, and product updates.
