About The Position

Specialty Rx, Inc. is seeking a Field Pharmacy Technician located in the surrounding areas of Atlanta, GA. This role is responsible for delivering medication restocks directly to skilled nursing home facilities, maintaining active communication with clients and pharmacy staff, and utilizing reporting applications. The technician will ensure accurate inventory management, identify and address discrepancies, and perform monthly audits. This position requires the ability to work independently under the direction of a supervisor and contribute to the company's mission of outstanding service through its CARE culture (Commitment, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence).

Requirements

  • Must be local to Sandy Springs, Georgia area.
  • Licensed Georgia Pharmacy Technician required.
  • Previous pharmacy experience required (one-year experience in long-term care preferred).
  • Experience with Automated Dispensing Systems (Pyxis, Omnicell) and Data Entry preferred.
  • Able to use various programs and applications efficiently and able to troubleshoot ADS problems.
  • Good organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Basic math and analytical skills.
  • Ability to physically perform light lifting.
  • A valid driver’s license, car insurance and reliable transportation required.
  • Willing to drive long distances in the State of Georgia.

Nice To Haves

  • one-year experience in long-term care preferred
  • Experience with Automated Dispensing Systems (Pyxis, Omnicell) and Data Entry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Able to work independently under the direction of a supervisor.
  • Deliver medication restocks directly to skilled nursing home facilities.
  • Maintain active communication with client facility and pharmacy staff.
  • Utilize reporting applications (myQlink, OmniCenter).
  • Maintain accurate information at each ADS (Automated Dispensing System) (quantity and expiration date).
  • Identify and address discrepancies to ensure proper billing.
  • Replace potentially expiring inventory.
  • Restock depleted inventory.
  • Monthly audits (cycle count).
  • Provide reports for the facility.
  • Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor.
