About The Position

The Field Operator is responsible for safe operation, inspection, and maintenance of pipeline systems and associated facilities. The role supports day-to- day field operations including monitoring system performance, conducting right-of-way inspections, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements. The Field Operator plays a key role in maintaining system integrity and supporting reliable product movement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience in oil and gas, pipeline, or field operations experience.
  • Valid driver’s license required and ability to obtain required certifications.
  • Working knowledge of pipeline operations, liquid handling equipment, and field measurement processes.
  • Strong understanding of safety and regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, PHMSA, etc.).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Ability to follow instructions and apply sound judgment to make safe, reliable decisions in field operations.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) programs and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Inspect, operate, and maintain pipeline systems and facilities, including pipelines, valves, pumps, and associated equipment.
  • Perform and document pipeline Right-of-Way (ROW) inspections in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor pipeline operations using SCADA systems and respond to system conditions as required.
  • Execute pipeline pigging operations, including launching, receiving, and inspection.
  • Perform lockout/tagout procedures to support safe maintenance and operational activities.
  • Maintain, repair, and replace pipeline components to ensure system integrity and reliability.
  • Coordinate with schedulers, downstream pipelines, and producers to support safe and efficient product movement.
  • Conduct measurement and documentation activities, including tank gauging, meter readings, inventory tracking, and regulatory reporting.
  • Identify, report, and assist in the prevention of spills while supporting environmental compliance efforts.
  • Support training and knowledge sharing with team members as required.
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas in safe, clean, and serviceable condition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
