Field Operations Trainer / D03 Warehouse
About The Position
RJW Logistics Group is seeking a Field Operations Trainer to serve as a subject matter expert on using Alchemy Manager, Player, Coach, and Playbook. This role involves facilitating training for new hires, including OSHA and RJW Safety training, as well as classroom functional training. The trainer will also conduct observations of trainers and employees, coordinate training schedules with operations and EHS for annual refreshers and cross-training, and generate reports to track training progress. Additionally, the Field Operations Trainer will train new trainers on Alchemy and partner with Training Supervisors/Lead Trainers on onboarding coordination. Knowledge of warehousing is preferred, and previous training/facilitating experience is required. A flexible schedule is necessary to accommodate various shifts and training demands.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a field operations trainer.
- MicroSoft office products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Outlook email.
- Previous training / facilitating experience.
- Demonstrated background in delivering training on various subjects and policies.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED) is preferred.
- 2-3 years knowledge in Warehousing, Logistics or 3PL preferred.
- MHE certification is not required but a plus.
- Knowledge of warehousing is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain training records.
- Facilitate classroom training (safety and operational) for new hires during onboarding for all warehouse employees.
- Facilitate classroom training refresher safety training and operational cross-training for all warehouse employees.
- Monitor training progress through reporting in the Alchemy system.
- Conduct observations on trainers and employees as needed.
- Partner with Operations to schedule training for regulatory OSHA training and company policies.
- Provide constructive feedback using various teaching methods while maintaining a positive rapport with employees.
- Willing to work off shifts or other sites as needed for training demands.
- Promote a culture of safety by ensuring employees are trained in safety.
