Field Operations Specialist (Charlottesville)
About The Position
AirGarage is looking for a Field Operations Specialist to be the on-the-ground presence at parking lots or garages. This role involves patrolling properties, verifying payments, and ensuring a smooth customer experience. The specialist will use AirGarage's app to scan license plates, verify active payments, and issue citations to non-compliant vehicles. Depending on the assigned location, tasks may include light cleanup, coordinating with vendors, assisting with signage, and directing traffic. This is a part-time, hourly position with opportunities for growth within the company.
Requirements
- Must own a modern smartphone with a reliable data plan.
- Reliable transportation to and from assigned location(s).
- Strong time-management skills and ability to work independently.
- A positive, professional attitude when engaging with customers and property stakeholders.
- Must be 18+ years of age.
- Must be authorized to work in the USA.
- Successful completion of a standard background check.
- A valid driver's license.
- Successful completion of a motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
- Ability to be on your feet for several hours at a time, outdoors, in a working parking lot or garage environment.

- Previous experience in customer service, security, or parking operations is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Regularly walk assigned lot(s) or garage(s) on foot to check on parked vehicles.
- Provide coverage across multiple locations within the assigned area.
- Use AirGarage's Space Force app on a smartphone to scan license plates and verify active payment.
- Issue citations to vehicles that haven't paid through the app and leave a physical notice.
- Immobilize (boot) repeat violators in some markets.
- Help customers understand how to pay and guide them through the app.
- Perform occasional light cleanup of trash and litter around the lot.
- Coordinate with outside vendors on maintenance needs.
- Assist with hanging or moving signage.
- Direct traffic into the lot and assist customers with questions or pricing at some locations.
