About The Position

For 29 years, Luxbrush has been Southern Vermont's largest painting contractor, running high-end residential painting, carpentry, and home services projects across the region. We're looking for a Field Operations Manager to take ownership of how every job runs — from the day it hits the schedule to the day the client signs off. This is not a desk role. You'll be in trucks, on sites, and in daily contact with crew leaders. If you're the person who already runs operations better than your current title or paycheck reflects — keep reading. Relocation package or company-supported housing available for the right candidate.

Requirements

  • Has run multi-crew painting, construction, or trades production (5+ years preferred).
  • Has held people accountable without losing them — and can point to crews that stayed because of their leadership, not despite it.
  • Reads a bid sheet, a P&L, and a crew's morale in roughly that order.
  • Has no ego about being on a job site in boots when the situation calls for it.
  • Prefers owning outcomes over being told what to do.
  • Willing to have conversations about performance, money, or standards.
  • Believes "on time, on budget, done right" is a daily job, not a slogan.
  • Is not looking for a clock-in / clock-out seat.

Responsibilities

  • Daily production — schedules, crew assignments, and job sequencing across all active painting, carpentry, and home services projects.
  • Margin protection — labor, materials, and job costs vs. bid on every project, every week.
  • Quality standards — site walks, QC sign-offs, and the final word on whether a job is "done."
  • Crew leadership — coaching crew leads, holding the line on accountability, building a team people want to stay on.
  • Systems — improving how we estimate, schedule, and run jobs. You'll have a real voice in how a 29-year-old operation continues to grow.

Benefits

  • Base salary: $65,000–$85,000 depending on experience
  • Performance incentives: tied to job profitability, schedule performance, and crew retention
  • Total compensation package potential: $90,000–$110,000+
  • Relocation & housing: company-supported housing or a generous relocation allowance for the right candidate
  • Company vehicle
  • Company phone
  • Tools
  • A leadership seat at Southern Vermont's largest painting contractor
