Field Operations Manager - Industrial Engineering

Dynamic SLRHouston, TX
$80,000 - $100,000Hybrid

About The Position

Dynamic EcoHome is hiring an ambitious Industrial Engineer to help build a disciplined, efficient, and scalable field operation in Houston. This is not a traditional desk-based engineering position. You will spend a significant portion of your time at job sites, with crews, and inside the daily operation. You will see problems firsthand, make decisions quickly, and turn engineering analysis into measurable improvements. You will lead installers, electricians, technicians, and other field personnel while improving the systems connecting labor, materials, equipment, schedules, job sites, and customer commitments. This opportunity is designed for an early-career engineer who wants significant ownership, leadership responsibility, and the opportunity to grow faster than a traditional engineering path typically allows.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • Zero to five years of professional experience - New Grads are encouraged to apply!
  • Strong preference for candidates with one to three years of experience in operations, construction, manufacturing, logistics, field services, or continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated leadership through competitive athletics, coaching, military service, student organizations, internships, entrepreneurship, or team-based competitions
  • A background in competitive athletics is preferred, especially when it demonstrates discipline, resilience, leadership, and a team-first mindset.
  • Evidence of taking ownership and delivering results beyond assigned responsibilities
  • Strong analytical ability combined with a willingness to make decisions and act
  • Comfortable leading experienced field employees and holding others accountable
  • Willingness to work at job sites and adapt to changing field conditions
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the Houston market

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, process improvement, capacity planning, or quality management
  • Experience in analyzing labor utilization, throughput, cycle time, scheduling, or operational cost
  • Familiarity with construction operations, field services, manufacturing, logistics, or installation environments
  • OSHA 30, Lean Six Sigma, CM-Lean, or comparable certification
  • Experience creating dashboards, performance reports, or operational scorecards
  • Leadership experience within a competitive team environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily installation and construction activities throughout the Houston market
  • Spend the majority of your time close to the operation, including regular job-site visits and field inspections
  • Set clear expectations and hold field teams accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance
  • Analyze workflows to identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, delays, rework, and wasted labor
  • Improve crew assignments, route planning, material flow, scheduling, and job-site sequencing
  • Build practical dashboards that track labor utilization, cycle time, throughput, quality, and cost
  • Redesign inefficient processes and test improvements directly in the field
  • Establish standardized procedures that improve consistency without slowing execution
  • Investigate recurring operational problems and lead root-cause analysis
  • Anticipate problems and take action before they affect customers or project timelines
  • Coach installers, electricians, technicians, and emerging field leaders
  • Coordinate with project management, engineering, warehouse, customer service, and senior leadership
  • Present Houston’s performance, constraints, priorities, and improvement plans to company leadership
  • Make confident decisions in changing conditions with limited oversight
