About The Position

The Field Operations Lead will be responsible for leading professional climbing activities at the Ivujivik field site, ensuring the safety of the team during climbing operations, and training the team on climbing protocols. This role also involves contributing to research on thick-billed murres. McGill University is an English-language institution committed to equity and diversity, and this position is covered by the AMUSE collective agreement.

Requirements

  • Driver’s license is required.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Professional climbing experience
  • Experience working with seabirds
  • Experience with remote fieldwork in the Arctic
  • Authorized to work in Canada
  • Willing to work in the province of Quebec
  • English communication skills (verbal and written) at level #3 on a scale of 0-4
  • 2 Years Related Experience
