About The Position
FAR Inspections is hiring an Inspector Coordinator to support a roster of independent inspectors working mortgage field service orders across the country. When a homeowner falls behind on a mortgage, the loan servicer needs confirmation that the property is still occupied. Independent inspectors visit the address, document what they find, and submit a report. National field service companies route those orders to inspection providers like us, and we route the work out to inspectors in the field. The Inspector Coordinator keeps that flow moving for an assigned territory.
Requirements
- Above average proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorts, filters, lookups, and basic formulas.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to track a high volume of open items simultaneously without errors.
- Calm and professional demeanor when handling high workloads or unexpected issues.
- Reliable home internet connection.
- A quiet space to work from.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years in a coordinator, dispatch, or operations role supporting independent contractors, field workers, or vendors.
- Experience in property management or leasing.
- Experience in insurance adjuster dispatch or claims coordination.
- Experience in disaster restoration coordination.
- Experience in staffing agency coordination (light industrial or healthcare per diem).
- Experience in real estate transaction coordination.
- Experience in restaurant or hotel operations.
- Prior mortgage field services experience.
Responsibilities
- Monitor open orders in the inspection management platform and identify ones at risk of going late.
- Communicate with inspectors via Slack to gather status updates, answer questions, and confirm completion.
- Respond to client emails requesting updates on specific orders.
- Assign orders to backup inspectors when the primary inspector cannot complete them.
- Assist inspectors via phone calls who encounter issues in the field.
- Maintain updated records in company systems as work progresses through the pipeline.
