About The Position

AmeriGas Propane, the largest distributor of propane in the United States, is searching for a detail-oriented person to join us as a Field Meter Reader. The Field Meter Reader is responsible for using a company vehicle to travel to customer sites in an assigned territory and accurately record the numbers from the meter manually or via electronic handheld device and turn in the collected readings (for processing). The Field Meter Reader is expected to complete approximately 350 meter reads per week.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Valid Driver’s license required
• Basic Microsoft Office skills required
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions
• Willingness to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Shall be subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with AmeriGas policies.
• Cannot use medical marijuana, even if prescribed by an authorized physician, as AmeriGas is a federal contractor that engages in safety-sensitive work.
