About The Position

This position reports directly to the Project Manager. It involves planning, scheduling, directing, and performing mechanical maintenance activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability. The role requires extended periods away from home, with at least 75% of the time spent traveling.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to navigate computers to enter electronic time sheets, overhaul reports, and communicate via email.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Basic algebra and geometry skills.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must be able to comprehend and pass various safety training modules.
Clean driving record.
Ability to obtain DOT medical card for driving non-CDL company vehicles is preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for setting daily priorities and giving work assignments.
Enter daily timesheets and respond to emails.
Act as a contact with customers and communicate effectively.
Prepare written and electronic reports during and after completion of field assignments.
Coordinate with the Project Manager on technical matters, budget recommendations, and manpower requirements.
Provide input for performance evaluations.
Ensure proper completion of projects and the safety of all team members.
Manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
Perform hands-on maintenance and overhauls on assigned tasks.
Train subordinates in the proper use of all hand, technical tools, and equipment.
Train subordinates in the proper use of safety equipment and safe operating procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
