About The Position

The Field Marketing Specialist will oversee and support strategic decisions from the National and local level, ensuring the sales plan and signage are executed at site level and align with site-specific needs. This role assists in scaling to common sign types and supports National and local levels with planning and coordination of all printed and digital sign programming. The specialist will ensure the operation of digital assets in stores and on forecourts, manage local media relations (reactive), and plan and implement local public relations campaigns (grand openings, post-renovation campaigns). Additionally, they will execute localized Social Media marketing campaigns, assist in managing the business unit marketing/advertising budget, conduct, summarize, and present local market research, and manage internal communications content. The role also involves providing content for external digital channels when needed locally (website, social media channels), managing the social investment program, participating in the communications network and weekly communications reporting, and performing media monitoring. Continuous professional development is expected through educational workshops, professional publications, networking, and society participation. The role contributes to team efforts by achieving financial and Key Result Area targets per Company Plan guidelines.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of experience working in marketing, merchandising and communication and/or related field required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Must possess well-developed verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven success record with media relations/PR campaigns.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to collaborate with other departments.
  • Must be well organized and possess ability to handle multiple responsibilities under constant deadlines with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Track record of managing third-party relationships and/or direct reports.
  • Customer focus: Identifies and understands customer needs and puts them first in all activities and efforts.
  • Commercial mindset: Goes the extra mile to drive the commercial success of the company.
  • Creative thinker who has proficient design and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator) preferred.
  • Retail experience is preferred.
