About The Position

Extend is building document processing infrastructure for technical AI teams to work with unstructured data. AI teams at companies like Square, Zillow, Brex, Flatiron Health, Checkr, and Mercury use Extend to process their most complex documents. We are looking for a Field Marketing Lead to own the mandate of field and conference marketing, ensuring that startups and developers are aware of Extend through events and physical presence. The role requires someone who can project-manage events, remain calm under pressure, and genuinely enjoys planning IRL events and participating in the startup community.

Requirements

1+ years of experience (slope is valued over years of experience).
Experience in VC (platform, chief of staff, or community), event or field marketing, production, SDR or growth roles with significant event work, or chief of staff roles.
Love for planning IRL events and active participation in the startup community (e.g., on X, knowing founders).
Strong project management skills, ability to keep stakeholders on track, and foresight to identify potential issues.
Warm, extroverted personality, comfortable engaging with many people.
Ability to generate creative and unconventional ideas that stand out.
Experience managing the conference lifecycle: event selection, sponsorships, booth or activation strategy, speaking opportunities, meeting generation, onsite logistics, and post-event pipeline follow-up.
Based in NYC and willing to travel to SF often.

Responsibilities

Expand Extend’s field footprint and brand awareness in SF and NYC via creative, fun, and well-curated events.
Activate the startup community through YC and Demo Day events, co-hosted events with partners, and founder dinners.
Support conference execution by managing Extend's conference presence end-to-end, including booth build, shipping logistics, staffing, run-of-show, and follow-up.
Design booths and activations that capture attention and create memorable experiences.
Produce content for social media to extend the reach of events beyond those who attended.
Connect events to signups and booked meetings to measure effectiveness and identify areas for investment.
